Flourish Counseling & Coaching, LLC is a well-established, private group practice with 5 licensed psychotherapists, including a few UCD alums. We’re in need of a part-time administrative assistant position to work approximately 28-30 hours per week. The position doesn’t provide formal training on operating a private practice, yet the assistant will report directly to our President/Founder and will learn a tremendous amount about successful practices and effective marketing strategies that could benefit them professionally in the future. They also benefit from attending our staff meetings that cover both business and clinical topics.

Flexible Scheduling:

Will open our office at 7:45 am Monday-Thursday. End times are flexible. The assistant can change their schedule each semester as their school schedule changes. Must be available virtually or in person for 1 hour on Fridays.

Requirements:

Must be professional, reliable and have excellent customer service skills, & respectful of a diverse clientele and diverse staff. Must be highly organized, self-motivated, flexible, & have a meticulous eye for detail. Prior administrative experience is preferred. Must demonstrate previous experience or ability to work with highly confidential information. Must demonstrate the ability to tend to highly detailed and introverted billing activities. The ideal candidate should be available to keep this position for 2+ years.

Must possess a moderate to high level of proficiency in Word & Excel, be proficient in typing, and easily learn new computer programs. Must be Internet savvy, familiar with social networking sites and creative enough to assist in generating marketing messages.

Physical Requirements:

Must possess own transportation in order to complete errands and be able to lift 30 pounds on occasion. Must be physically capable of helping us maintain our building by completing light housework, shoveling snow, etc.

Duties include:

Screening and scheduling new potential clients, handling all insurance billing including verifying benefits, submitting claims and managing files. Will perform basic housekeeping tasks. Assist with creating Internet marketing and social media posts. Will update and maintain databases, make copies, organize files, order supplies and perform personal assistant tasks for the President. Must be able to trouble shoot office equipment and install new computer programs.

Caveats:

The successful candidate will sign Flourish’s Employment Agreement and agrees not to be employed or engaged in another private psychotherapy practice within a 5 – mile radius of Flourish. All employees are probationary for their first 90 days.
